We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead and inspire our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that The Finch continues to meet its high standards for revenue, profitability, and quality, while delivering exceptional customer service. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing both the front and back of the house operations. This includes motivating staff, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable dining experience. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing hiring, scheduling, and training of cooks and wait staff to maintain peak operational efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations. In this fast-paced environment, your ability to lead by example and maintain calm under pressure will be crucial in elevating the team and restaurant performance.
Your responsibilities will embrace a comprehensive scope, including ensuring superior service standards, responding skillfully to customer feedback, and maintaining consistent product quality. You will also be integral in managing operational costs, controlling waste, and discovering new suppliers to enhance the offerings at The Finch. This role also involves developing strategies to promote the restaurant’s brand within the community, leveraging word-of-mouth and promotional events, as well as recommending marketing initiatives such as discounts and social media campaigns to broaden our customer base. Ultimately, your goal will be to optimize every aspect of restaurant operations to secure the establishment’s reputation as a culinary refuge where good taste and great company converge.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management
- Proven experience managing both front and back of the house operations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional leadership and motivational skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
