Job Description

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya is a renowned restaurant brand dedicated to providing the most authentic Japanese ramen experience outside of Japan. With its unique bone-roasting techniques and traditional methods, Kizuki Ramen crafts rich and flavorful broths that immerse guests in the true taste of Japanese cuisine. Founded with a commitment to authenticity, the company operates multiple locations across the United States, each designed to transport visitors to Japan through not only the food but also the aesthetic and service experience. The open-kitchen layouts, attentive staff, and meticulous details enhance the dining environment, making every visit memorable and culturally enriching. At the heart of Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya’s philosophy is the desire to share the art of Japanese ramen, bringing people together through culinary excellence and genuine hospitality.

The role of General Manager at Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya is a full-time, salaried, exempt position based in San Francisco, CA. The salary range offered is $81,000 to $90,000 annually with the potential for participation in a bonus program, dependent on experience, skills, and internal equity. The General Manager will play a crucial leadership role, overseeing the operations of multiple restaurant locations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong operational skills and a passion for driving financial performance while maintaining the highest levels of food quality, customer satisfaction, and safety standards. The General Manager will ensure all facets of restaurant operations run smoothly, including staffing, inventory control, cost management, marketing, compliance, and customer service. The role presents a unique initial challenge with a two-month travel assignment in Seattle, WA, before transitioning to the San Francisco location.

In addition to overseeing daily operations, the General Manager will be responsible for cultivating a positive and professional work environment that fosters teamwork, high morale, and staff development. This involves recruiting, training, and mentoring team members while promoting continuous improvement and professional growth. Collaboration on marketing initiatives and special events will be essential, helping to solidify the restaurant's position within the community and enhance guest engagement. The ideal candidate will also ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and food safety regulations, in accordance with company policies. This role requires exceptional communication skills, financial acumen, and a genuine passion for food and hospitality. Ultimately, the General Manager acts as a key ambassador for Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya, embodying the brand's values and driving its mission to bring the finest Japanese ramen experience to customers across the U.S.
