Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree (BS/BA) preferred
  • Five years experience supervising a minimum of 15 associates
  • Three years experience in hotel management including budget management
  • Must pass company security clearances
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach
  • Must have effective communication skills
  • Must be able to work any day or shift including weekends
  • Must be able to work effectively in stressful environments
  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism
  • Must possess a "can do" attitude and multitasking capabilities
  • Must have physical presence onsite as remote work is not permissible
  • Must maintain certification from brand approved responsible vendor training program

Job Qualifications

  • College degree (BS/BA) preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Five years experience supervising at least 15 associates
  • Three years experience in hotel management including budget oversight
  • Prior experience working in Hilton or Marriott family of hotels preferred
  • Knowledge of government regulations applicable to hotel industry
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards
  • Proficient in accounting processes including receivables, payables, budgets, invoices, and payroll
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Strong financial analysis and project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to develop and counsel staff
  • Ability to analyze work accuracy for self and others

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments
  • Ensure hotel operates within budget and brand quality guidelines
  • Coordinate with recruitment to maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Manage personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and development
  • Address and resolve escalated guest complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Monitor interdepartmental communications for accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop and manage short and long-term financial objectives
  • Review weekly cost accounts and financial reports
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and promptly address outages
  • Carry out administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, and production controls
  • Enforce company policies and facilitate the implementation of new rules and procedures
  • Maintain certification from approved vendor training programs
  • Engage in community business and charitable activities
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and property grounds for cleanliness and safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are within capability
