Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management business administration or related field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 5+ years of progressive hotel management experience with at least 1 year in a General Manager or Assistant General Manager role
  • Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service and brand standards

Job Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all hotel operations including front office
  • Ensure compliance with all Marriott brand standards policies and procedures maintaining a high-quality guest experience
  • Develop monitor and achieve financial goals for revenue profitability and cost control
  • Recruit train supervise and evaluate department managers and associates fostering a culture of teamwork accountability and service excellence
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective actions to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction targets
  • Oversee sales and marketing efforts in collaboration with the sales team to maximize revenue and occupancy
  • Maintain compliance with all federal state and local regulations including health and safety labor laws and financial reporting
  • Prepare and present financial reports forecasts and business plans to ownership and corporate leadership
  • Build strong community relationships and represent the hotel at local and regional industry events
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership providing updates on performance opportunities and risks
  • Act as Manager on Duty as needed including evenings weekends and holidays to ensure smooth operations
