Job Requirements
- Education as specified (college degree or equivalent experience)
- Progressive hotel or related field experience

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience
- or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance per Highgate standards
- Maintain high personal appearance and grooming standards
- Comply with Highgate standards and regulations
- Effective problem handling and resolution skills
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Job Duties
- Tour operating departments daily, making adjustments through department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs timely
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers
- Ensure department heads maintain budget productivity and accounting standards
- Develop managers through training programs
- Conduct daily HHBR meetings focusing on sales calls and potential business
- Engage in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and events
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Monitor development of management trainees
- Adhere to and train staff on Highgate policies and procedures
- Oversee budget processes
- Ensure training in service standards across departments
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment
- Inspect rooms regularly with Housekeeping and Property Engineering
- Ensure timely invoice processing
- Submit financial documents to Corporate Office monthly
- Maintain property cleanliness and maintenance
- Promote attentive and courteous employee interactions
- Forecast the hotel’s financial position monthly
- Conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Interview final candidates for management positions
- Perform Executive Committee performance appraisals
- Motivate, coach and discipline management staff
- Perform duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- Ensure equitable treatment of employees
- Meet clients on-property
- Greet guests during peak times
- Ensure security procedures for hotel safe and audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
- Complete corporate training and certifications
- Ensure all required meetings take place on property
