Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree preferably in hospitality management or related field or equivalent education or experience
- seven years of hotel general manager experience preferred
- experience with Hilton or fully branded hotel preferred
- prior experience managing a similar size branded hotel property with over 300 guestrooms and 125,000 square feet of meeting and convention space
- prior sales experience is a plus
- proven record of producing a strong balanced scorecard
- ability to gain knowledge of hotel systems and programs as well as math skills
- ability to train other employees and assess and evaluate their performance in a fair and consistent manner
- ability to supervise, train and motivate hourly associates within your department
- ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
- ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance
- thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations, including but not limited to Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, and NLRA
- prior full service renovation experience

Job Duties
- provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, ensuring a memorable stay
- ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and government regulations related to associates, security, cash handling, guest relations, and safety
- maintain and improve property standards and guest satisfaction
- develop the annual budget, marketing plan, and capital expenditure plans
- achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals while balancing costs with guest satisfaction
- prepare and submit timely operational reports on financials, brand compliance, and associate performance
- ensure property hiring and employee practices comply with company and legal requirements
- hire, train, and direct associates and managers, keeping them conversant with all policies and procedures
- accompany sales team on sales calls and lead sales efforts
- participate in community events and meetings to promote the hotel
- remain highly visible and accessible to guests at all times
- thoroughly understand and implement the brand service culture
- support team members to complete daily workloads
- perform other duties as required
