Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 6 years of progressive hotel management experience
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- proficient in financial management and budgeting

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field
- or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience
- or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
- light work exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
- Hold monthly financial review meetings with department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and standard accounting procedures
- Develop managers through competency training and corporate-sponsored programs
- Conduct daily sales meetings with Director of Sales focusing on prospecting and account calls
- Participate actively in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- Provide management on duty coverage as scheduled
- Monitor development of management trainees
- Ensure compliance with all Highgate Hotel policies and procedures
- Oversee and assist in the budget process
- Ensure ongoing training in service standards across all departments
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on guest satisfaction
- Conduct regular room inspections with housekeeping and engineering
- Process invoices daily and ensure timely submission of financial documents
- Maintain cleanliness and preventive maintenance of physical property
- Promote attentive and courteous employee interaction with guests and staff
- Forecast monthly financial position and generate accurate reforecasts
- Manage hiring and interviewing processes following Highgate standards
- Administer performance appraisals and disciplinary actions per corporate SOPs
- Meet with clients and assist in sales efforts on property
- Maintain presence in public areas during peak times to assist guests
- Oversee hotel safe procedures and monthly audits
- Lead monthly credit meetings and participate in credit and collection activities
- Complete required corporate training and obtain training certifications
- Ensure all scheduled meetings occur on property
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management
