This role requires a strategic mindset paired with hands-on operational execution to meet and exceed financial goals.
Leading by example, you will ensure all associates receive proper recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training, including compliance with company training programs such as Best Day Ever and Extended Stay University. You will conduct daily team meetings to discuss company updates and drive improvements on critical hotel deliverables.
Operationally, you will oversee the property's physical condition, conducting daily room and public area inspections to ensure they meet the highest cleanliness standards and brand consistency. You will manage inventory levels and supply procurement to guarantee associates have the necessary tools to perform efficiently. Additionally, you will manage in-house rates, perform competitive surveillance, and identify new business opportunities within the local market.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership
- Proven track record in managing guest satisfaction and operational performance
- Strong understanding of labor management and cost control
- Ability to lead diverse teams and foster a positive work environment
- Knowledge of applicable employment laws and hotel brand standards
- Effective communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in technology relevant to hotel management.

Job Duties

- Completes daily room and guest ready room inspections
- Manages ESA Brand Standards and pursues continuous improvement
- Ensures proper recruitment, interviewing, screening, and hiring procedures
- Onboards and trains new associates including Best Day Ever and Extended Stay University compliance
- Drives positive work environment through teamwork and recognition
- Partners with District Manager to optimize associate performance including coaching
- Conducts daily team meetings to communicate updates and improve performance
- Provides necessary tools and supplies for associates to perform jobs
- Maintains appropriate PAR levels and manages purchase orders within budget
- Manages room availability efficiently
- Controls labor expenses by approving daily punches and monitoring productivity
- Oversees cash management and timely payment collection
- Achieves quality lead generation through guest engagement and market awareness
- Enforces ESA standards and policy compliance
- Ensures bank deposits are completed according to policy
- Performs competitive surveillance and monitors guest experience social media
- Reviews in-house rates
- Adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws
- Performs duties across all hotel operations as needed
- Directly manages Assistant General Manager or Team Leader
- Monitors and responds to social media guest feedback.
