The role of Engineering Supervisor at DoubleTree Abilene Downtown Concerner Center is a key leadership position within the hotel's operations department. As the Engineering Supervisor, you will oversee and perform duties related to maintaining the physical functionality of the entire property—including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. This role entails supervising a team of property operations and engineering staff, ensuring that the hotel’s infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently at all times. You will assist the Director or Manager in the training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of the engineering and maintenance team to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in engineering or maintenance supervision in hospitality
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and loss prevention
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel engineering or maintenance supervision
- Knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures
- Strong leadership and team management skills

Job Duties
- Supervises and performs duties of property operations and engineering staff to maintain facility functionality
- Assists director/manager in training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating department staff
- Ensures staff compliance with safety and loss prevention standards and regulations
- Maintains guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-the-house areas
- Coordinates maintenance and repair activities across the property
- Oversees preventative maintenance programs
- Responds promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
