The Cleaning and Maintenance Worker role at MetroLink Tulsa is a vital position responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the transit authority’s buildings, vehicles, and grounds. This role involves performing a wide variety of cleaning duties using both automatic and manual equipment, such as steam cleaners, buffers, and forklifts, to maintain the aesthetic and functional aspects of the transit environment. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • ability to operate cleaning and other equipment used in cleaning buildings grounds and equipment such as steam cleaner buffer forklift
  • must be licensed in the state of Oklahoma
  • must have a class d operators license
  • must have no moving violations within last 3 years
  • must have no dui dwi convictions
  • extensive walking and standing required
  • able to lift 70 to 100 pounds
  • able to withstand exposure to weather dust fumes chemicals and noise
  • able to climb ladders and crawl into tight spaces
  • willing to work shift hours and days as assigned
  • must be safety conscious and avoid accidents

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • perform general cleaning duties at facilities buildings grounds and equipment subject to inspection utilizing automatic and manual cleaning equipment
  • service and clean all equipment
  • check and maintain all fluid levels in fleet vehicles
  • clean sewer lines and bathrooms
  • patch building roofs and parking lot
  • fuel oil and grease buses and other vehicles
  • pick up parts from supply warehouse stores and run errands for maintenance department by driving a company vehicle
  • move furniture and equipment as needed
  • probe vehicles and restock media for fareboxes
  • wash vehicle exterior as required
  • assist with ice and snow removal during winter weather events
  • pick up debris sweep out thoroughly mop vehicles wipe down driver and passenger areas and disinfect
  • assume additional responsibilities as directed or required
  • must report to work on a regular and timely basis
