The Geek Squad Delivery Driver role, also known internally as Delivery Experience Agent, is a dynamic and vital position within Best Buy’s Geek Squad services. This role is responsible for the delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of basic complexity appliances, televisions, and other technology products. Delivery drivers determine the best methods to transport and install major appliances in customers' homes or other delivery locations, which involves careful measuring and protecting of installation routes, as well as assessing whether it is necessary to detach doors or move fixtures to facilitate delivery. The role requires a blend of technical aptitude, customer service skills, and physical capability, as drivers not only manage deliveries but also perform installations, networking, repair tasks, and in some cases, provide training to new drivers.

Moreover, drivers are tasked with managing inventory, maintaining their vehicles, processing paperwork and payments, and providing feedback to store teams. Leadership qualities are also important, as the role involves leading and assisting on teamwork-based delivery jobs while also functioning independently when required. This position requires a candidate with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record compliant with Best Buy’s safety standards, and the physical ability to handle heavy lifting, sometimes up to 350 pounds alone or 700 pounds as part of a team using specialized equipment. Preferred candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and client relations skills, along with experience in in-home installations and familiarity with technology products.

Job Requirements

  • 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Have and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy's safety standards (e.g., minimal number of violations/accidents)
  • Ability to carry, lift push and pull weight up to 350 pounds alone or up to 700 pounds as part of team, with the use of a harness, lift or dolly, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of being hired

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Ability to carry, lift push and pull weight up to 350 pounds alone or up to 700 pounds as part of team, with the use of a harness, lift or dolly, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Leadership, decision making, written and verbal communication and client relations skills
  • Experience in an in-home installation environment
  • Experience using and learning about technology products

Job Duties

  • Attend to delivery duties, including the installation, networking and repair of devices with a focus on home theater equipment and appliances
  • Provide a seamless client experience by providing advice on product placement, services and other content
  • Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members
  • Process paperwork and payment, provide feedback to the store teams and complete in-store repairs
  • Provide training to new drivers
  • Lead and assist on two person jobs as well as perform work alone
