Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous restaurant serving experience preferred
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to stand for extended periods up to 8 hours
physical ability to reach bend and stoop
strong attention to detail
ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
willingness to assist team members and fill in as needed
basic math skills for handling payments
familiarity with POS systems preferred

ability to work standing for long periods of time up to 8 hours
ability to reach bend and stoop

Job Duties

Welcome and greet guests
inform guests of specials and menu changes
make recommendations and suggest appropriate beverage pairings
answer questions regarding the menu including regions where foods come from and how dishes are prepared describing in detail tastes and textures
answer questions regarding beverage lists including where wines and beers are produced and their aromas and flavors
answer questions about restaurant functions and services across all company restaurants
take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into POS system
deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
clear and replace settings between each course
perform side work before during and at the end of each shift
maintain clean service areas
monitor and observe guests dining experience ensuring satisfaction
prepare final bill present check accept payment and process credit card charges or make change
assist fellow service staff members
thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation as directed by manager
