As one of the nation’s largest and most respected GI networks, United Digestive is committed to clinical excellence, physician autonomy, and professional growth. The Douglasville and Hiram offices, part of this extensive network, boast a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with advanced technology and a comprehensive approach to gastrointestinal health. This setting is ideal for physicians seeking a rewarding career in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
This outstanding opportunity invites a Gastroenterology Physician to join a dynamic group of healthcare professionals, including five physicians and three advanced practice providers, in an outpatient-focused practice with a manageable hospital call schedule. The role offers a predictable Monday through Friday workweek, ensuring a healthy work-life balance alongside excellent earning potential. Physicians in this position benefit from a clear associate-to-partner track, typically achievable within two years, and gain access to equity and endoscopy ownership opportunities, which underscores the practice’s commitment to physician investment and leadership development.
The clinical scope of this role encompasses a wide range of gastroenterology services including general GI care, colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy (EGD), ERCP, EUS, enteroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoid banding, infusion services, telehealth, nutrition counseling, video capsule endoscopy, and TIF procedures. This diverse procedural mix allows physicians to utilize their full skill set while engaging with advanced, cutting-edge technologies. The average patient volume is approximately 15-18 patients per day, concentrated primarily in outpatient office visits with hospital call responsibilities on a one in three single hospital rotation.
Situated only 20 minutes from Downtown Atlanta, the practice offers an attractive location with proximity to major transportation hubs, airports, and cultural attractions. Douglasville and Hiram provide a welcoming community characterized by Southern charm, excellent schools, and ample outdoor recreational opportunities, including Sweetwater Creek State Park and the Silver Comet Trail. This location offers an ideal balance of professional advancement and lifestyle quality, making it attractive for physicians looking to establish or continue their careers in gastroenterology.
Compensation includes a highly competitive salary based on experience and training, with additional financial incentives through wRVU production bonuses, sign-on bonuses or a comprehensive stipend plus relocation package. Benefits begin from day one and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice coverage, CME reimbursement and CME days off, as well as assistance with licensure and DEA management. United Digestive also prides itself on providing a white-glove onboarding and mentorship program designed to foster success and professional satisfaction for new team members.
Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, possess or be willing to obtain a Georgia medical license and DEA registration prior to starting, and maintain a clean malpractice history. New graduates are welcomed through 2025, but candidates seeking locum tenens opportunities will not be considered. This full-time, permanent position offers stability, growth opportunities, and the ability to grow within an established, nationally recognized GI network. If you are a dedicated gastroenterology physician seeking a supportive environment with career advancement and competitive compensation, this opportunity with United Digestive in Douglasville, Georgia is an excellent match.
