Job Description

We are a premier sportfishing boat operating out of Southern California, offering exciting trips that last up to three days. Our boat hosts between 12 and 25 guests, providing an adventurous offshore overnight experience with favorable weather conditions for much of the year. Our trips include providing three meals a day with snacks in between, ensuring our guests are well-fed and energized for their sportfishing excursions. We take pride in creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for our returning customers as well as new guests who purchase tickets on open trips. The galley is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare delicious meals, with food supplies typically ordered through Sysco or stocked from Costco Business. Our crew operates with a strong sense of camaraderie and excellent customer service, essential qualities for making every trip successful and enjoyable. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fun, and sometimes challenging environment offshore. As a sportfishing company, we combine hard work with rewarding experiences and close interactions with guests and crew members alike.

The role of the Galley Chef is vital to the operation. You will be responsible for preparing three meals daily for all guests, along with providing snacks between meals. This position requires an individual who can work hard, maintain high standards of food quality, and engage positively with both the crew and customers. While prior experience in a galley or kitchen is not mandatory, a good attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic are crucial. Crew camaraderie and exceptional customer service are key components to this role's success. Tips are shared evenly among the crew, with daily average tips of $200 or more per crew member, in addition to a daily wage starting at around $180. This part-time position demands that you have your own transportation since the work location is mobile and on the road. This job offers a flexible schedule and is perfect for those looking to challenge themselves in a fun, hardworking setting with a close-knit crew. It is important to note that seasickness is not an option for anyone interested in this role due to the offshore nature of the trips. If you thrive in hands-on, fast-paced environments and want to be part of a unique sportfishing team, this position could be an excellent fit for you.
