Renowned for its production and distribution of high-quality artist supplies, including brushes, easels, pastels, paints, and various painting surfaces, Jack Richeson has cultivated a strong connection with both local and international art communities. The company’s dedication to fostering creativity is exemplified not only in its extensive product portfolio but also through its commitment to education, artistic growth, and community engagement. With the acquisition by DecoArt in 2022, a brand known for inspiring creativity in crafting and decorating, Jack Richeson continues to innovate and strengthen its position within the art supply market, combining rich traditions with fresh, innovative approaches.

The Gallery Manager role at Jack Richeson & Co. offers a dynamic and influential position to drive the success of the Richeson School of Art & Gallery. This position is ideal for a creative professional passionate about nurturing the visual arts and engaging with the artist community. Serving as a vital link between artists, patrons, and the broader public, the Gallery Manager is responsible for orchestrating a wide array of functions ranging from exhibit planning and artist relations to workshop coordination and retail operations. In this full-time role, the Gallery Manager will strategically manage gallery exhibits, ensuring seamless scheduling and execution of shows that highlight works from acclaimed local and international artists, thereby enhancing the gallery's reputation as a premier art destination.

Key responsibilities also include managing consigned artwork and nurturing relationships with artists to expand gallery offerings and facilitate successful sales. The Gallery Manager oversees workshops and events designed to cultivate artistic skills and community participation, including selecting qualified instructors and promoting events effectively. Retail management is another critical aspect of the position, entailing inventory oversight, pricing accuracy, and maintaining a visitor-friendly environment that offers knowledgeable assistance to guests. Additionally, the role encompasses maintaining the gallery’s digital presence, particularly social media engagement, to broaden audience reach and enhance community connections.

The role further extends to forming strategic partnerships with local organizations, supporting philanthropic efforts, and assisting in product development initiatives by collaborating with the purchasing team on new art materials and trends. Opportunities to contribute to artist programs and represent the gallery at trade shows also allow the Gallery Manager to hone their creative and professional expertise. This position demands someone with a hands-on approach, able to physically assist with artwork handling and adapt to flexible work hours including some nights and weekends.

Jack Richeson & Co. values diversity and inclusion and is committed to providing an accessible and supportive workplace, encouraging applications from candidates of all backgrounds. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan with company match, and generous paid time off, creating an environment where employees can thrive alongside passionate colleagues dedicated to the arts.
