The role of the Ambassador at Riemann Family Funeral Homes is integral to the success of their services. As an Ambassador, you will perform a variety of supportive tasks during the funeral and memorialization events, assisting Funeral Directors and other location staff to ensure each service runs smoothly and exceeds the expectations of client families and their guests. This role requires a high level of customer service orientation, communication skills, and the ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations with empathy and tact. Ambassadors greet and direct client families and guests, provide assistance throughout the visitation and memorialization processes, maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the facility, oversee parking and vehicle arrangements for formal processions, and serve as the professional face of the funeral home in the community.

Job Requirements
- Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record
- No prior experience required
- Able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Attend and perform work in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with the employer’s requirements
- Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through personal community involvement
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to empathize with client families and their guests and demonstrate tact and patience in emotionally charged situations
- Ability to actively respond to the requests of the client families and their guests
- Tactful and professional when dealing with complaints or dissatisfaction with services or merchandise
- Maintains a positive attitude and working environment through organization and communication
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritizes tasks, and exercise good judgment
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greets and directs client families and their guests to the correct chapel in which services are being held
- Directs visitors to guest book and distributes memorialization materials as needed
- Answers questions and assists with serving the needs of the client families, their guests, and other visitors during the visitation and memorialization event
- Receives and places flowers in chapels
- Ensures refreshments are available to client families and their guests
- Ensures that public spaces such as lobby, chapels, restrooms and reception/rest areas are clean and prepared prior to, and at the conclusion of, scheduled services
- Oversees parking area, valets vehicles and ensures family and ceremonial vehicles are arranged for formal procession
- Assists with directing and/or transporting families and service attendees to and from service locations outside of the funeral home
- Actively serves as an ambassador of the business in the community to build trust and loyalty
- Represents the business in a professional, honest and ethical manner at all times
- Maintains a professional personal appearance and demeanor while performing duties or representing the business
- Other duties as assigned
