Job Description

The specific position focuses on providing assistance to room attendants on assigned floors. This includes practical tasks like collecting and transporting dirty linens to the laundry area and delivering fresh linens to attendant carts throughout the day. The role also involves supporting the cleaning of public areas and possibly assisting with stripping linens from rooms under the guidance of room attendants. A significant part of the job is responding promptly and effectively to requests from guests and housekeeping staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient service on each floor of the hotel.

Working in this role offers a variety of daily responsibilities that include heavy lifting of items such as mattresses and linens, maintaining cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas, and managing supplies and amenities to minimize waste. The position requires physical stamina as it involves frequent standing, moving around the facility, and handling objects or equipment. The candidate must be comfortable with tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and pushing or pulling loads of significant weight, reflecting the physical nature of the housekeeping department.

This is a full-time, hourly role offering an hourly pay rate of $18.40. Job Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds
  • ability to push and/or pull approximately 300 pounds
  • frequent standing and moving about the facility
  • frequent handling of objects and equipment
  • frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
  • willingness to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and public holidays

Job Duties
