Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Pass criminal background check
- Pass motor vehicle report check
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and pushing heavy loads
- Availability to work store hours Monday through Sunday
- Willingness to comply with company’s drug-free and tobacco-free workplace policies
- Provide letter of support from management if currently employed at a Gordon Food Service customer
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of delivery driving experience
- At least one year of customer service or related experience
- Unrestricted Standard Operator License
- Clean driving record with no drug or alcohol offenses in the last five years
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Accurately locate and pick orders in-store for wholesale customers
- Build and maintain good customer relationships
- Keep customers happy with accurate and timely deliveries of GFS products
- Perform daily pre and post-trip inspection of vehicle and equipment
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer purchases through point of sale
- Ensure security of assets including cash, checks, and merchandise by following policies and procedures
- Accurately receive and merchandise products, ensuring proper rotation and product quality
