Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a retail environment
  • Prior management experience
  • Ability to travel within divisional requirements
  • Ability to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move throughout the store
  • Ability to lift products up to 45 pounds
  • Ability to operate electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures including outdoor and refrigerated environments

  • Ability to work independently and within a team to lead store personnel
  • Ability to understand and apply management principles
  • Ability to perform leadership and administrative duties

Job Duties

  • Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure desired results
  • Leads and develops store personnel
  • Develops and implements action plans using company provided resources to improve operating results
  • Oversees resolution of employee and customer concerns aligning with the district manager
  • Interviews candidates and provides recommendations
  • Manages personnel including recommending advancement and termination
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of ALDI personnel, customers, vendors, and partners
  • Collaborates to resolve store issues to minimize liability
  • Leads team to develop sales, engage teams, satisfy customers, and achieve high performance
  • Understands and executes company strategy while modeling core values
  • Fosters positive work environment and teamwork among employees
  • Manages compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Trains and develops personnel to their maximum potential
  • Provides feedback and coaching on employee performance
  • Ensures compliance with customer service guidelines
  • Resolves personnel and customer concerns independently or escalates as needed
  • Models compliance with company policies
  • Ensures a safe working environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment
  • Manages and revises weekly schedules for accuracy
  • Enforces expense guidelines, inventory, product handling, and cash policies
  • Maintains store zone and merchandising standards
  • Acts to improve operational results and implements plans to meet KPIs and budgets
  • Participates in and plans meetings and training sessions
