The role of a Baking Team Member at Whole Foods Market is fundamental to maintaining the bakery's reputation for quality and freshness. In this role, the Baking Team Member will be responsible for tasks such as measuring and mixing raw materials, shaping dough, baking products, and monitoring proofing and baking conditions to produce consistent and quality baked goods. They will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within their work area, completing logs for temperature and sanitation, and assisting in merchandising and stocking bakery products to optimize sales potential. Job Requirements
- must be able to lift 50 pounds

- single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling hand use
- bending, twisting, squatting and reaching motions
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Measures, mixes, and prepares raw materials according to company specifications and recipes
- forms, cuts, molds, shapes, and bakes dough
- monitors cooking completion times and sets heat and humidity temperatures for proof box
- checks product to ensure it meets quality standards
- ensures temp, sweep, and sanitation logs are completed
- arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
- provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
- maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- follows and complies with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- immediately reports safety hazards and violations
- performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
