The Service Porter role at ACERTUS is a vital part of the Operations Team, directly contributing to the smooth handling and management of finished vehicles within their hubs. This full-time position, which offers competitive hourly compensation at $19 per hour, provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about vehicles and logistics to engage in a dynamic work environment Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In this position, the Service Porter plays a multifaceted role that includes physical tasks such as moving and parking vehicles safely, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, and conducting weekly inventory counts to ensure accurate tracking of assets. The role requires clear communication and collaboration with other team members, clients, and vendors, emphasizing reliability and attention to detail. Service Porters are also responsible for routine vehicle servicing, such as refueling and adding essential fluids, as well as staging vehicles for client pickups. Additionally, the position involves security duties like patrolling the area to prevent theft or damage, showcasing the company’s dedication to safeguarding their inventory.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 23 years of age
  • Candidates over the age of 65 are subject to an additional review process for insurance purposes
  • Candidates over the age of 65 must provide a letter of insurability from their personal physician for insurance purposes
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid regular driver's license
  • Current and valid DOT medical card preferred
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle report
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Job Duties

  • Place a numbered tag on a vehicle windshield to be parked
  • Drive the vehicle to parking space or point out a parking space for the driver's use
  • Receive and release vehicles
  • Complete weekly inventory of vehicles at the hub
  • Run vehicles to and from repair/maintenance shops
  • Service vehicles with gasoline, oil, and water
  • Stage vehicles for pickup
  • Take photos of vehicles at client's request
  • Patrol area to maintain security and prevent theft
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
