As an Applebee's Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience. This position is integral to maintaining Flynn Applebee's status as a premier brand by leading with enthusiasm, managing operational details effectively, and driving team performance. The Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering timely, friendly service aligned with company guidelines, fostering a positive workplace culture, and addressing guest feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction. You will handle scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and safety standards while supporting recruitment, training, and staff development initiatives. This full-time position offers a competitive wage ranging from $18.53 to $21 per hour (approximately $53,000 to $60,060 annually based on a 50-hour workweek), with potential bonuses depending on location. Job Requirements
- at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours

- finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications

- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus

Job Duties
- ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems
- participates in the constant development of employees using one-on-one and performance documentation, and contributes to the completion of written evaluations
- assesses the efficiency of employees, provides fair feedback on a regular basis, and continuously works with employees on their areas of development
- monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations that require or could lead to disciplinary or corrective action
- assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
- responsible for controlling cost in assigned department
- compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
- drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM's request and is accountable for completion
- responsible for preparing and submitting accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store related technology
- must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed when in a restaurant, including cooking on the line, expo, seating guests, bartending
- uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
