Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Check in and check out patients in a timely, friendly manner
- comfort patients by answering any questions they may have
- discuss patient balances and collect copayment/balances
- maintain patient accounts by verifying insurance information and coordinating with relevant staff members for payment and referral requirements
- keep doctors, physician assistants, medical assistants, and any other related staff abreast of scheduling, patient details, and potential service delays
- protect patients' right to confidentiality, mandatory familiarity with HIPAA
- exhibit strong customer service skills in daily interaction with the public, staff, and physicians
- maintain a professional demeanor at all times, keeping the company's Core Values and Shared Purpose at the forefront of your actions
- collaborate in the process to protect Patient Health Information
- process the collection of copayments/balances
- schedule with both the patient and provider schedules in mind
- understand and verify insurance eligibility and the requirements of those plans
- responsibility for daily collection reconciliation
- perform all other duties as assigned
