Job Description

Cherokee Town & Country Club, established in 1956, is widely acknowledged as one of America's most prestigious private clubs. Nestled in the scenic Grant Estate on West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead, with an additional location near the Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs, Cherokee offers a unique blend of luxury, exclusivity, and tradition. The club is dedicated to providing unparalleled recreational, social, and dining experiences to its members. It prides itself on creating memorable moments through exceptional services and a supportive community atmosphere. The club's guiding philosophy, known as the Cherokee Standard, emphasizes excellence, professionalism, and top-tier service from every member of its team.

The Bartender/Cocktail Server role at Cherokee Town & Country Club is an extraordinary opportunity tailored for individuals passionate about crafting high-quality beverages and cultivating meaningful connections with club members. Located in a newly renovated entertainment space at the Town Club in Buckhead, this position transcends the typical bartending job. It offers a stable income of $23.50 per hour without relying on tips, providing financial predictability—a rare benefit in the hospitality industry. The working schedule respects work-life balance, covering Tuesday through Saturday with Sundays and Mondays off, and concludes by 11 pm each night to avoid late hours.

This unique hybrid role combines bartending with cocktail serving responsibilities, working closely alongside the Lead Mixologist and cocktail servers to ensure flawless service during high-volume periods between 5 to 7 pm as well as quieter times. The bartender not only crafts classic cocktails and serves one of the finest bourbon collections globally but also delivers a warm, engaging hospitality experience that focuses on conversation and connection. Creativity is encouraged, with opportunities to innovate drinks using house-made syrups and fresh garnishes. This role extends beyond the bar area to represent Cherokee at special events, weddings, and private parties, allowing team members to showcase their skills in diverse settings.

Candidates who thrive in this role bring both technical bartending expertise and genuine hospitality, creating enjoyable and memorable experiences for members by maintaining professionalism, enthusiasm, and energy. The club seeks individuals with solid knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beverage service, along with previous experience in high-end restaurants, bars, or similar hospitality venues. Being at least 21 years old, availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and possessing a confident yet personable demeanor are essential.

At Cherokee, employees enjoy a competitive and comprehensive benefits package designed to support their health, well-being, and future growth. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; a 401(k) plan with employer match; wellness programs; paid time off; employee assistance programs; and special perks like free meals during shifts, provided uniforms, and commuter discounts. Additionally, those who enjoy golf can take advantage of complimentary golf on most Mondays.

This position offers an outstanding chance to join a respected institution with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and member satisfaction. Working at Cherokee Town & Country Club means becoming part of a dedicated team that values continuous improvement and professional growth. For bartenders and cocktail servers seeking a stable job in a refined setting where they can practice their craft, connect with an elite clientele, and enjoy comprehensive benefits, this opportunity is unmatched. Applicants are encouraged to apply via a quick, mobile-friendly online process and prepare for an interview that includes a cocktail-making showcase to demonstrate their skills and presence behind the bar.
