The role of Line Cook at Table 12 Kitchen & Bar is a full-time opportunity ideal for experienced culinary professionals seeking to grow their careers in a dynamic kitchen setting. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Line Cook is a pivotal member of the back-of-house team responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes that meet the restaurant's exacting standards. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in various food preparation techniques, and capable of maintaining a clean and organized cooking station. Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- 1-2+ years of line cook experience in a full-service or high-volume kitchen environment
- strong knowledge of food preparation techniques
- familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- effective communication skills
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- capability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- 1-2+ years of line cook experience required in a full-service or high-volume kitchen environment
- strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen equipment
- ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and timing guidelines
- set up, stock, and maintain cleanliness of assigned station before, during, and after each shift
- follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety regulations
- assist with prep work, portioning, and labeling as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- communicate clearly and effectively with fellow cooks, servers, and kitchen management
- maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation for every dish served
- support opening and closing kitchen duties, including restocking and cleaning equipment
- follow all safety procedures and report any issues or equipment malfunctions promptly
