Job Description
A high-profile family based in San Francisco is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time nanny to join their household. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about childcare and understands the nuances of caring for young children, especially infants and multiples such as twins. The family values a warm, flexible, and reliable individual who is ready to become an integral part of their lives and support them during an exciting phase. They emphasize a long-term commitment, making this role suitable for a professional who desires stability and a meaningful relationship with the family. The employer offers full-time hours to ensure the nanny has a consistent work schedule along with a competitive benefits package that reflects the importance of the role within their household. This position requires someone who is travel-ready, capable of accompanying the family both domestically and internationally, underscoring the need for a nanny who is adaptable to varied and dynamic environments. Before joining, candidates should expect to undergo a background check and provide proof of immunizations, reflecting the family’s commitment to health and safety. The role will primarily focus on nurturing care for twins, incorporating structured routines and developmentally appropriate activities, demonstrating an understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological stages of infancy and toddlerhood.
This family-oriented role expands beyond childcare to lightly assist with housekeeping tasks. Around 70 percent of the nanny's time will be devoted to child-focused responsibilities which require not only affection and patience but also strong organizational skills to manage daily routines effectively. The remaining 30 percent involves housekeeping—support when the mother is present including cleaning, organizing, and running occasional errands. The household itself is described as a large, private residence with high-end furnishings and finishes, so the ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of proper care and maintenance for luxury home environments. The household values discretion and professionalism highly, and expects the nanny to interact collaboratively with other household staff and the family principals while maintaining a high standard of confidentiality and respectful communication.
The position also offers a variety of attractive benefits that include guaranteed full-time hours, paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid birthday off, medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) savings and retirement plan, and access to the family car for job-related duties and appointments. The nanny must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, a valid passport for travel purposes, and be a non-smoker. This role suits a nanny who is compassionate, organized, and proactive about safety and well-being, with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work independently. If you are an experienced caregiver who is ready to take on the role of a trusted family support and travel partner, this long-term, full-time nanny opportunity could be the perfect match for you.
