Silverado Berkeley is a leading memory care provider recognized nationally for its commitment to providing exceptional care for individuals with neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Since its inception in 1997, Silverado has established itself as a pioneer in memory care, consistently ranked in the top 10 nationwide by Fortune Magazine's Best Workplaces in Aging Services. The organization is certified as a Great Place to Work and prides itself on fostering a supportive work environment that encourages employee growth, development, and competitive compensation. Silverado is dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents through compassionate, respectful, and individualized care.
The role of Housekeeper at Silverado Berkeley is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of individuals with memory impairments by ensuring that all community areas, including resident rooms and common spaces, are consistently sanitized and orderly. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and a genuine passion for delivering service that respects the dignity of each resident. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help create an atmosphere that promotes comfort and safety, enhancing the overall living experience for residents and their families.
This full-time position operates primarily during the AM shift from Thursday to Monday and offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.18. The work environment is active and engaging, with physical activity including walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on roles. No prior housekeeping experience is necessary, although previous experience in assisted living or hospitality is an advantage. Silverado provides paid training and opportunities for professional advancement, ensuring housekeepers are well-equipped to perform their duties with confidence and care.
Silverado Berkeley values team members who are dependable, eager to learn, and thrive in collaborative settings. The ideal housekeeper leads with integrity and offers compassionate support to residents affected by memory conditions. This position also requires comfort working around pets and interacting with residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Reliable transportation and a commitment to attendance and punctuality are necessary for success in this role.
Joining Silverado Berkeley means becoming a difference-maker within a nationally recognized memory care community. Employees benefit from a comprehensive package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and other perks such as pet insurance and discount programs. Silverado does not engage outside recruiters for this role, emphasizing direct connection and transparency with prospective team members. By becoming part of Silverado, you join a compassionate workforce committed to enhancing the lives of some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community, all while growing your career in a supportive and respected organization.
