The Stayton at Museum Way, located in Fort Worth, TX, is one of Buckner’s communities where the role of Housekeeper is vital in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. This full-time, onsite position involves ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of cleaning duties including servicing rooms, baths, offices, and public areas throughout the community. This role is pivotal in upholding Buckner’s quality and service standards by delivering outstanding cleanliness that enhances the overall experience of the residents.
The Housekeeper contributes significantly to the community’s ambiance by performing routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming, as well as replenishing supplies like soap and towels. You will be expected to demonstrate attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a courteous, service-oriented attitude. The role requires handling cleaning chemicals safely according to instructions and moving furniture when necessary in compliance with safety policies. Additionally, this position collaborates with other departments to assist with cleaning and housekeeping assignments, ensuring that utility and linen storage areas are well organized and maintained.
Ideal candidates for this Housekeeper role possess a solid understanding of housekeeping operations and sanitation standards, with previous related experience preferred. Job Requirements
- requires in-depth understanding of all phases of housekeeping operations
- prior related experience preferred
- requires basic knowledge of house cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, etc.
- cleaning agents and sanitation/cleaning requirements
- requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English
- ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions given in English
- requires ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility on a daily basis
- work deals mostly with objects, equipment, and/or machines at or within arm's reach
- depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance
- requires ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- perform all duties in a courteous manner and maintain excellence in customer service including but not limited to cheerfully greeting residents and visitors and exercising respect with co-workers
- clean and service rooms, baths, and offices
- dust furniture and equipment
- clean windows, window sills, light globes
- empty trash baskets and remove trash
- clean and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar items
- replenish supplies of soap and towels
- clean and polish brass, glass panels, doors, partitions, and paneling
- check and fill all dispensers – hand soap, paper
- clean, mop, and treat floors
- vacuum all carpet
- mix/dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions
- move furniture as needed in accordance with safety policies and procedures
- assist other departments with cleaning and other housekeeping assignments
- keep utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and sweeping and mopping floors
- organize and maintain linen closets in a safe and orderly condition at all times
