1 to 2 years experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties
1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier
1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
1 to 2 years of supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
Less than 1 year retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting

Job Duties

Monitors multiple self-checkout registers and assists customers as needed
Proactively recommends products and services to customers
Greets, assists, and engages with customers across registers
Ensures accurate completion of transactions including handling merchandise
Thanks customers and invites them to return
Provides SMART customer service by following policies and procedures
Assists customers in locating, selecting, and loading merchandise
Responds knowledgeably to customer and employee questions
Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties
Uses cash register for sales transactions, returns, and refunds
Provides supervision and support to front-end associates
Removes security tags and bags merchandise
Answers incoming calls and directs them or takes messages
Opens registers to maintain coverage
Assists in line vesting for quicker checkouts
Prepares register area by checking functionality and stocking supplies
Inspects returned merchandise
Processes customer orders and verifies receipts
Places orders and merchandise appropriately
Verifies price matches for products
Maintains store use lists for items
Monitors cash in drawers and obtains safety bags
Watches store entrances for security
Detects and reports signs of theft and shoplifting
Maintains cleanliness and organization through housekeeping standards
Keeps work environment safe and secure
Adheres to all safety protocols and operates store equipment as required
Performs other assigned duties as needed
