Job Requirements

Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting and modifying information
Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs including credit cards and protection plans
Experience working in any Lowe's retail department
Supervisory experience including directing, delegating, evaluating, and coaching employees
Knowledge of retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
Experience detecting common signs of shoplifting

Job Duties

Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
Provides SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's policies and programs
Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties
Uses cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
Monitors merchandise entering and leaving the store and detects signs of shoplifting and security risks
