The Fresh Foods Department Supervisor position involves assisting in managing and supervising up to 80 associates within the department. This role is vital in supporting the Department Manager by guiding and overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring all tasks are performed according to Harris Teeter's policies and standards. Responsibilities include assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, addressing associate performance, and maintaining a safe and productive department environment. The supervisor also performs or coordinates various tasks such as baking, frying, cake decorating, clerical duties, and chef responsibilities to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, along with one to three years of relevant experience or training in a related field. Basic computer skills with knowledge of inventory and spreadsheet software, as well as strong mathematical and reasoning abilities, are also important.
