Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to adhere to state and federal food safety regulations
- Experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred
- Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work the specified rotating schedule
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Enjoys and takes pride in cooking
- Previous job experience and scratch cooking experience preferred but not required
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work deadlines
- Maintains a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
Job Duties
- Prepares food in accordance with state and federal guidelines and established policies and procedures
- Ensures that special diets are followed and that food is prepared in a timely manner
- Works directly with the Executive Chef, Director of Dining Services, and the Dietitian to plan and prepare meals
- Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel as well as other departments to guarantee that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of residents
