Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands regularly
- ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English
- ability to write simple correspondence in English
- ability to perform basic mathematical operations with American money, volume, and weight measurements
- willingness to complete company training including food sanitation, safety, and customer service network
- ability to work in moderate to loud environments with exposure to hot, cold, and hazardous conditions
- ability to follow safety protocols and handle work hazards such as hot surfaces and sharp objects
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- culinary experience
- knowledge of cooking terminology, ingredients, and food safety practices
- ability to use various small and large kitchen equipment
- ability to read and follow directions and recipes
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to present information effectively in English
Job Duties
- take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- prepare, process, package, and stock products according to fresh foods standards
- provide customer service and assist shoppers effectively
- maintain cleanliness of work areas and kitchen equipment
- unload stock shipments and reload salvage products properly
- comply with food safety and sanitation regulations
