Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate for the delivery vehicle
- Hold or be able to obtain a valid medical certificate required for commercial driving
- Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening as per company standards
- Compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) regulations
- Ability to obtain necessary sales-related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic including addition and subtraction
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screen
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic operations
- Customer service experience in retail or delivery settings preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or Moffett vehicles preferred
- Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Provide SMART customer service by assisting customers with locating, selecting, and loading merchandise
- Seek out customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products
- Communicate product information including stock availability, special orders, feature benefits, applications, and warranty details
- Contact customers regarding delivery schedules or coordinate with truck drivers to facilitate communication
- Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and ensure timely delivery of merchandise
- Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits
- Inspect products before delivery or assisting customers with loading
- Verify invoices by matching item descriptions, quantities, and model numbers
- Ensure loads are safe, secure, and comply with Department of Transportation regulations
- Update delivery and route status in tracking systems for real-time monitoring
- Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure cleanliness of delivery vehicles and equipment
- Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance
- Monitor and report signs of theft or security risks to management or Asset Protection
- Adhere to housekeeping standards to maintain clean and organized store and work areas
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews, clearing hazards, and securing premises
- Operate store equipment such as Zebra phones, paging systems, computers, CCTV, key cutters, and various machinery
- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations and customer satisfaction
