The company recorded more than $86 billion in total fiscal year 2025 sales and employs approximately 300,000 associates nationwide. Lowe's is dedicated to supporting communities by focusing on initiatives such as safe and affordable housing, community space improvement, developing skilled trades expertise, and providing disaster relief aid.
As a major player in the retail and home improvement sector, Lowe's emphasizes delivering excellent customer service, innovative product offerings, and effective operational practices. Committed to inclusion and diversity, Lowe's maintains an equal opportunity employment policy that prohibits any discrimination based on race, color, religious creed, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected class under federal, state, or local laws.
The position offered is for a CDL Driver responsible for merchandise delivery and customer service duties within Lowe's operational framework. This role requires driving commercial vehicles to deliver home improvement products safely and efficiently to customers, ensuring a positive customer experience at every interaction. The employment terms include a requirement for a valid Class A or Class B CDL license and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
The CDL Driver role is integral for the smooth operation of Lowe's supply chain and customer satisfaction processes. The successful candidate will plan and execute delivery activities, including loading merchandise, driving safely according to schedule, and ensuring on-time delivery of orders. They will inspect delivery items for quality, assist customers with loading and unloading, and complete vehicle inspections to maintain operational safety standards. Additionally, the role involves in-store duties such as customer service engagement, operation of various store equipment, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety.
Proactively engaging with customers, the CDL Driver will provide courteous, knowledgeable service, assisting customers in understanding product features, availability, and warranty information. This includes coordinating delivery schedules, contacting customers regarding deliveries, and ensuring all merchandise loads comply with Department of Transportation regulations. The role also upholds security standards by identifying and reporting potential theft or security risks.
Lowe's values experienced drivers but is open to candidates with relevant training and certifications, highlighting opportunities for those with a minimum of one year driving a semi-truck or trailer, forklift operation experience, and some background in retail customer service or in-home delivery. The company also emphasizes maintaining safety documentation and certifications like valid medical certificates and clean driving records.
This position offers competitive pay based on location, experience, and education, with extensive benefits provided to qualified associates. Lowe's commitment to career development and employee support makes this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to build a long-term career in the logistics and home improvement industries.
