Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months coffee related experience in service industry
  • Must maintain unexpired TABC Certification and Food Handler Certification
  • Certificates, licenses, and/or identification cards as required by the U.S. Department of Justice to verify employment eligibility
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff
  • Ability to create documents in Excel and Word
  • Ability to understand property management system and point of sale software
  • Ability to apply concepts of math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
  • Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and adhere to dress code policies, wearing the Jo's uniform and closed toe shoes
  • Play music appropriate for the community, including being aware of inappropriate music choices
  • Respect fellow employees, customers and the work environment
  • Check patrons' identification to ensure age requirements for alcoholic beverage consumption
  • Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients
  • Take orders from patrons for food or beverage and prepare items to specification
  • Gain knowledge of the point of sale (POS) system so that each transaction performed is accurate
  • Restock items using the First-in, First-out (FIFO) system
  • Check invoices for accuracy as deliveries arrive
  • Clean during and at the end of each shift according to assigned side-work
  • Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management
  • Communicate time-off requests and confirm schedule with management
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
  • Maintain awareness of safety issues throughout the property
  • Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
  • Give excellent customer service to each patron
