Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to operate bakery equipment including mixer, oven, fryer, proofer, pallet jack, pan washer, slicer, baler/compactor, jelly pump, ladder, knife/box cutter, computerized label machine
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Possess basic computer skills
- Possess strong communication skills
- Proven experience in bakery or retail management is preferred
- Leadership skills and ability to train staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies regarding bakery operations, safety, and sanitation
- Achieve financial goals such as sales and gross profit maximization
- Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
- Take customer orders accurately for cakes and other specialty bakery products
- Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
- Complete all necessary paperwork relating to bakery department
- Selection, training, and development of bakery associates
- Ensure supply levels are at acceptable levels, fulfill orders as needed
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Direct subordinates in implementing plan of action and goal attainment
- Maintain and enforce a clean as you go work environment to ensure sanitary conditions
- Perform tasks as assigned by the ASM or Store Manager
