The Assistant Store Manager position at ALDI is a full-time role, averaging 38 hours per week. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years progressive retail experience
- Prior management experience preferred
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate store equipment safely and efficiently
- Meets state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
- Physical ability to perform stocking and store maintenance tasks

Job Duties
- Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
- Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
- Identifies training and development opportunities for team members
- Understands and models company core values to promote teamwork
- Monitors the competitive environment and advises on necessary adjustments
- Provides product feedback including recommendations for new or discontinued items
- Participates in interviewing and hiring processes
- Communicates important information and team updates
- Ensures adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies
- Resolves operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader
- Identifies and rectifies hazards and maintains store equipment
- Maintains store cleanliness and proper signage
- Assists with stock level management through product ordering
- Merchandises products neatly to maximize sales
- Ensures product quality, freshness, and accurate signage
- Assists with payroll, loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees
- Supervises day-to-day operations and escalates issues as needed
- Ensures completion of assigned responsibilities by team members
- Complies with all company policies and confidentiality requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
