As an Assistant Store Manager at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in supporting the store’s operational success and leading a dynamic team. The role requires hands-on management to ensure compliance with company policies, inventory procedures, and cash control standards to minimize losses. Job Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience
- Prior management experience preferred
- Ability to provide and lead others to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Proven ability to develop rapport and open communication with direct reports
- Ability to manage budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses
- Efficient cash register operation skills
- Ability to safely operate store equipment including hand jacks and floor scrubbers
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Meets state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Job Duties
- Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
- Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
- Identify training and development opportunities for staff
- Understand and model the company’s core values to create teamwork
- Monitor the competitive environment and inform leadership of necessary adjustments
- Provide product feedback and make recommendations on inventory
- Participate in interviewing store personnel
- Communicate weekly updates, milestones, and concerns
- Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash control policies
- Resolve operational customer concerns in direct leader’s absence
- Identify and rectify hazards maintaining store equipment
- Maintain store cleanliness and signage
- Assist in maintaining proper stock levels through ordering
- Merchandise products neatly to maximize sales
- Ensure quality and freshness of products and accuracy of signage
- Assist with achieving store payroll and budget goals
- Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues as needed
- Ensure timely completion of responsibilities for high-quality customer service
- Comply with company policies and maintain confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
