Joining ALDI as an Assistant Store Manager means becoming an integral part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring superior store performance and customer experience. This full-time position typically entails an average of 38 hours per week, with a starting wage of $26.00 per hour and a wage increase to $27.00 per hour in the second year of employment. Key responsibilities include communicating job expectations clearly to team members, monitoring the competitive landscape to maintain ALDI's market position, and providing valuable product feedback to inform inventory decisions. The Assistant Store Manager also participates in hiring processes, ensures compliance with inventory and cash control policies, and oversees the resolution of customer-related issues in the Store Manager's absence. Maintaining store cleanliness, proper merchandising, and product quality is an ongoing focus, alongside managing payroll budgets and conducting inventory counts. This position demands flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Physical demands include regularly stocking merchandise, lifting up to 45 pounds, and performing various physical activities such as standing, bending, and reaching.

ALDI values employees who can work independently and as part of a team, deliver exceptional customer service, and foster open communication and trust among staff. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of progressive retail experience, preferably with prior management exposure, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational, communication, and management skills are essential to succeed in this role. ALDI offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits packages to both full-time and part-time employees, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave. Notably, full-time employees enjoy additional benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, paid holidays, parental and caregiver leave, and disability insurance.

As an equal opportunity employer, ALDI is committed to diversity and inclusion in its hiring practices and workplace culture.
