The role of Assistant Store Manager at ALDI is a full-time position, requiring approximately 38 hours per week, with a starting wage of $26.00 per hour and a wage increase to $27.00 per hour in the second year. This position plays a critical role in supporting store leadership by assisting in the supervision of daily store activities, ensuring the store's overall performance meets company standards, and driving initiatives that improve operational results. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will collaborate closely with your direct leader to develop and implement action plans aimed at enhancing store operations and customer service. You will be responsible for managing employee schedules, overseeing merchandise presentation, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company policies including cash control and safety guidelines.

This role demands strong leadership and communication skills, as you will establish performance expectations for your team, identify training opportunities to foster employee development, and create a positive and motivating work environment aligned with ALDI's core values. The Assistant Store Manager also plays an essential part in recruitment by participating in interviewing candidates to build a competent and customer-focused team. The Assistant Store Manager will handle customer concerns professionally and ensure timely and effective completion of employee tasks to uphold ALDI's high standards of customer service. Additionally, you will help manage store budgets including payroll and inventory loss, participate in inventory counts, and assist in training new employees. The ability to operate cash registers and various store equipment safely and efficiently is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to interpret and enforce company policies. Prior retail management experience is preferred but not mandatory if combined with equivalent education and experience.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
