Cascadia Healthcare combines the best practices in healthcare with innovative programs designed to foster physical, emotional, and social well-being. As a respected name in the healthcare community, Cascadia Healthcare offers a collaborative workplace where professionals are encouraged to grow and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those they serve.

The role includes bringing physical and social spaces to life through dynamic calendars, festive décor, and orientation tools that help residents stay connected to time, place, and each other.

Leadership in community engagement is a top priority, requiring one-on-one interactions, small group activities, large events, and even off-site excursions. The Activities Manager champions resident voices by supporting resident and family councils, ensuring ideas and concerns are heard and addressed. Additionally, the position requires diligent tracking of program impact, participation rates, and outcome evaluations to continuously refine and improve the activity offerings. Effectively managing budgets, supplies, and program resources is also a vital part of balancing creativity with strategic planning.

Ideal candidates are compassionate yet organized, creative yet analytical. The perfect fit enjoys working in teams but is equally comfortable taking the lead when needed. Candidates should come with experience in healthcare or long-term care, preferably in activity programming, and have a relevant educational background in recreation therapy, occupational therapy, or human services. Professional certifications, such as Certified Recreation Therapist or Activity Director credentials, are highly valued.

This role is vital because it directly impacts residents' quality of life by fostering a sense of purpose, combating loneliness, sparking joy, and overall improving daily living experiences.
