Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Must have valid driver license for the applicable state
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards and scheduling needs
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including proper uniform and name tag
  • Comply with company standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Clean and buff floors daily according to hotel standards
  • Shampoo carpets and furniture in public areas as needed
  • Clean public restrooms and maintain them regularly throughout the shift
  • Handle luggage assistance requests at check-in and check-out courteously and efficiently
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests, associates, and self
  • Manage lost and found items according to company standards
  • Turn in keys and assignment sheets to housekeeping or front office at shift end
  • Complete and submit daily assignment checklists to supervisors
  • Be familiar with company policies and house rules
  • Ensure associates are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests and managers
  • Properly store equipment after use according to standards
  • Assist in emergency procedures and maintain safety on overnight shifts
  • Clean and dust floors daily
  • Maintain hotel equipment in working order and store properly
  • Clean guestrooms as needed
  • Complete special projects assigned by the housekeeping manager
  • Attend required management meetings
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
