Job Description

Toot'n Totum is a well-established American convenience store chain known for its commitment to excellent customer service, safety, and operational efficiency. Founded decades ago, the company has grown to operate numerous locations throughout Texas, serving communities with a variety of fuel products, quick-service food items, and other essentials. Toot'n Totum is recognized for its strong company culture that values integrity, teamwork, and a guest-ready attitude. This employer proudly maintains a drug-free workplace and complies with equal employment opportunity laws, ensuring an inclusive environment that supports diversity across all levels of the organization.

The current role being offered is a full-time Fuel Driver position located in Amarillo, Texas with a work schedule from 3 PM to 3 AM. This position is crucial for Toot'n Totum's operational success as it involves the safe and timely delivery of fuel products such as gasoline and diesel to various designated sites. The role demands strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including compliance with hours of service, vehicle inspection protocols, and hazardous materials handling. As a Fuel Driver, the individual plays a significant part in maintaining both safety and environmental standards while ensuring that logistics run smoothly.

Beyond technical driving skills, the role requires a professional who embodies Toot'n Totum’s core values: being guest ready, honor and value, quick, clean and convenient, ownership, and team focus. The successful candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities by being present and authentic in all interactions, taking personal accountability, communicating courageously when needed, and fostering a positive workplace culture grounded in continuous improvement.

Operating commercial tanker trucks, this driver must conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain all necessary logs related to deliveries and compliance. The Fuel Driver is responsible for the careful handling and transportation of hazardous materials, ensuring both their own safety and that of the public. Besides managing the physical demands of the delivery task—including lifting up to seventy-five pounds and working in various weather conditions—the driver must remain vigilant for mechanical issues and emergency situations, reacting promptly according to company emergency response protocols.

This role also highlights the need for excellent communication and organizational skills. The driver must navigate GPS systems and dispatching software effectively to optimize routes and delivery schedules. A successful applicant will demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities, rapid decision-making in challenging circumstances, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in every aspect of their work. This is a hands-on, dynamic position suited to individuals who thrive on responsibility, safety, and delivering exceptional service to help Toot'n Totum continue its tradition of excellence across its fuel transportation operations.
