Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of recreation and food and beverage operations
  • ability to coordinate and expedite events requiring food and beverage services
  • clear and concise communication skills
  • ability to maintain rapport with staff and public
  • skill in planning and assigning work schedules
  • ability to keep accurate records and follow budgets
  • act independently and make sound judgments
  • process and balance cash receipts as per finance guidelines
  • current food handlers permit
  • alcohol serving certification
  • valid Utah driver license or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Serve Safe Management certification or ability to obtain
  • current alcohol service certifications or ability to obtain
  • food handlers permit or ability to obtain

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • post high school education preferred
  • experience in food and beverage, catering, and bartending preferred
  • food and beverage management experience preferred
  • general knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • demonstrated ability to plan and assign work schedules
  • ability to make sound decisions and manage budgets
  • current food handlers permit
  • alcohol serving certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare high quality food following food safety procedures
  • communicate with supervisors, staff, golf operations, and the public to ensure efficient food and beverage operations
  • maintain grill and dining areas in a clean, safe, and visually pleasing condition
  • collaborate as a team member with pro-shop, maintenance, and food and beverage staff
  • ensure compliance with safety regulations and report hazardous situations
  • assist in hiring and training part-time grill and event staff
  • support and coordinate food and beverage events such as weddings, tournaments, and public functions
  • regularly evaluate menu items, adjust pricing, and manage cost of goods margins
  • participate in marketing initiatives for the food and beverage division
  • ensure all employees maintain required food handling and alcohol serving certifications
  • manage licensing and permit compliance
  • complete daily operational checklists
