This job opportunity at GIANT Company is centered on a position within their deli and prepared foods department at the Morrisville, Pennsylvania location. The role primarily involves preparing and producing a variety of food items such as sandwiches, subs, roasted or fried chicken, appetizers, pizzas, soups, and other deli products. Responsibilities include food preparation, merchandising, cleaning, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards. Employees are expected to work with precision, efficiency, and an attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of products are consistently delivered to customers.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4-hour shifts or longer as needed
  • Ability to continuously perform job duties
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for approximately 55% of the time and walk 45%
  • Experience or ability to work in temperature variations including freezer and unconditioned back rooms
  • Completion of Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Right-to-Know training
  • Adherence to company policies including use of personal protective equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Commitment to workplace safety such as reporting unsafe conditions and accidents
  • Compliance with apparel and footwear policies

Job Duties

  • Review work schedule and check equipment at the start of the shift
  • Comply with personal protective equipment requirements
  • Manage production planning
  • Complete invoice review
  • Produce products for sales floor warmers and hot bar following plan-o-gram and standard operating procedures
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters
  • Complete daily food safety compliance logs
  • Track and record loss using known loss tracking
  • Train team members
  • Prepare and label sandwiches, subs, and wraps as per standard operating procedures
  • Make pizza using turbo oven, cut, package, and serve to customers
  • Assist customers with meat and cheese slicing, portioning deli food, weighing, and labeling
  • Produce items for grab and go section
  • Roast chicken by preparing racks and ovens, then wrap and label
  • Clean roaster and dispose of oil properly
  • Fry chicken by dipping in batter, cooking, wrapping, and labeling
  • Maintain fryer by adding oil and cleaning as needed
  • Break down and clean equipment every four hours
  • Order products for smoked program from meat department and produce smoked goods according to plan-o-grams
  • Use cleaning tools and sanitizers to maintain hygiene
  • Perform record-keeping tasks as assigned
  • Track loss, markdowns, and manage Flashfoods
  • Conduct order reviews and upload live freight
  • Merchandise all prepared foods programs including sandwiches, hot bar, pizza, and salads
  • Plan weekly circular advertisement
  • Organize sales floor cooler and freezer
