The Front Desk & Guest Care role at Concord Hospitality is an integral position in the hotel’s operations. The front desk is the hub of guest interaction and engagement, where first impressions are created and guest satisfaction is fostered. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be the face of the hotel and pivotal in ensuring that each guest receives a warm welcome and efficient assistance throughout their stay. This role demands excellent communication skills and a keen sense of responsibility as you will be handling guest inquiries, concerns, and various administrative tasks. Key duties include managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling payments and charges, and effectively communicating with other hotel departments and management to resolve guest issues promptly. Furthermore, you will cross-train to assist in the small lobby bar during evening shifts, allowing you to expand your skill set and earn additional tips. The role requires flexibility with open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays due to the hotel’s 24/7 operation.

Job Requirements

  • must have open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods up to 8 hours
  • willingness to cross-train in the lobby bar
  • ability to handle guest service situations with professionalism
  • basic knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • good communication skills
  • high sense of responsibility

Job Qualifications

  • previous hotel experience preferred but not required
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • good interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

Job Duties

  • assist guests efficiently, courteously and professionally at all times
  • maintain a high level of service and hospitality
  • promptly and effectively deal with guest concerns or issues and ensure all are met to satisfaction
  • post guest charges and collect payments following all cash handling procedures
  • handle guest mail and messages with respect to privacy and professionalism
  • communicate with various departments and management on guest comments and concerns
  • respond quickly to incoming calls, lobby visitors and team members needing front desk assistance
  • have full knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures
  • cross-train and assist in the lobby bar during evening shifts as needed
