The role of a Full-Time Cook in the New York, NY location of Elior Independent School Dining offers an exciting opportunity to join a motivated and energetic kitchen staff. This position is suited for passionate culinary professionals keen on preparing and serving high-quality, delicious meals in a fast-paced and efficient setting. The cook will be responsible for quality control, creative food presentation, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment
  • Working knowledge of culinary methods and techniques
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment and tools
  • Customer service experience
  • Food handlers’ certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items
  • Customer service experience
