Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • must have minimum one year bartending experience or two years serving beverages
  • must have basic math and cash handling skills
  • must have very good communication and written skills
  • ability to work any shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • must hold ABLE Liquor License (receipt serves as temporary license for 30 days)
  • must present documents establishing identity and employment eligibility
  • must obtain Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License
  • flexible to work in a busy casino environment with smoke and noise
  • ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 150 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare mixed drinks by selecting and mixing ingredients according to recipes
  • garnish drinks by slicing and pitting fruits
  • place garnishes on picks or in drinks
  • prepare beer barrels by connecting hose couplings and connecting barrels to tap
  • serve beer by filling glasses from tap and opening requested-brand bottles
  • serve wine by opening bottles, decanting, and pouring by-the-glass offerings
  • make change out of issued banks
  • provide bar snacks by replenishing pretzels, nuts, and special mixes
  • maintain attractive bar by arranging bottles and glasses, removing soiled glassware and empty containers, and ensuring cleanliness
  • maintain supplies by ordering, requisitioning, or restocking items and replacing beer barrels
  • prepare trash for disposal
  • maintain safe, secure, and healthy bar and patrons by enforcing standards and procedures, judging alcohol consumption, calling for alternate transportation, complying with legal ABLE and health regulations
  • update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, keeping abreast of drink trends, exploring new recipes
  • enhance bar's reputation by accepting ownership for new requests, exploring opportunities to add accomplishments, and safeguarding customers
  • maintain professional appearance
  • provide friendly and courteous customer service
  • perform other duties and projects as required by management
