Job Requirements

  • Ability to use computers and other communication systems
  • Ability to push or pull up to 2000 pounds using a pallet jack
  • Ability to bend and lift products weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to pull or push up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently during shifts
  • Ability to handle cleaning and packaging substances
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions
  • Ability to reach frequently at waist level
  • Ability to meet established volume activity standards
  • Ability to tolerate working in extreme hot or cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes
  • Sufficient visual ability to check written documents
  • Must complete company training and maintain accreditation as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred
  • Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills
  • Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements
  • Ability to use technical information to solve problems
  • Must meet minimum age requirements
  • Accredited or ability to become accredited as a Certified Food Safety Manager within 90 days

Job Duties

  • Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager
  • Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations
  • Provide leadership and motivation to promote company culture and brand strategy
  • Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
  • Maintain enthusiastic customer service and positive shopping experience
  • Control store expenses through proper ordering and care of supplies and equipment
  • Ensure food safety, department sanitation, and workplace safety standards are met
